Youko is the creator of Show Me Your News! He attends the University of Michigan, at which he attends the bi-weekly Smash Bros. tournaments. He has one sibling; a younger brother known on the internet as "SwordHunter". His mother is sometimes seen making a cameo on the SMYN stickam channel. He has reportedly "forced" his parents to play Super Smash Bros. Melee in the past. His mom played as Peach, and his dad played as DK.
Youko started SMYN during what he describes as "the most medically challenging time of [his] life". He later explained that his troubles were caused by anxiety from being "cut off" from his girlfriend of four years. To him, SMYN has been a sort of healing process. It is a bittersweet thought to think that without Youko going through this tough time of his life, we never would have had SMYN.
Youko is a player of decent skill in Smash Bros. In both Melee and Brawl, he mains Captain Falcon, whose taunt inspired the name of the podcast. Despite Captain Falcon being low-tier in Brawl, Youko still stays true to his main.
Youko is a great enthusiast of music. He was in his school band through all of high school. His favorite update to the Smash Bros. Dojo!! was reportedly "My Music". Youko's enthusiasm to music has led to several musical Easter Eggs in SMYN history. Through his ability to play the guitar, Youko is personified online as K.K. Slider from Animal Crossing.

Biography: Gimpyfish is an American smasher known primarily for being one of the few notable Bowser professionals. He has made several Bowser combo videos, the latest being "Gimpyfish: The Movie (aka Boozer Cute 2)".
People regularly claim he is "way too good" with Bowser. Although there have been many claims that Gimpyfish would be amazing with a higher tier character, he has stayed true to his Boozer and instead elevated him to extremely high levels of play. Gimpyfish was ranked 7th on the Washington Power Rankings before he moved to SoCal, in which he is currently ranked 13th on the SoCal Power Rankings.
Gimpyfish is considered a favorite guest among SMYN fans. His popularity on the SMYN front led him to being co-host of Episode 26 alongside SamuraiPanda.

Biography: Pyroloserkid is a Canadian smasher from Brampton, Ontario. He joined Smash World Forums on June 6th, 2007 and mains Falco and Pikachu, but he considers low tiers just as fun to play with. He entered his first tournament on September 29th. The tournament was Starfurry 2007, and he didn't make it out of his pool. All in all, it was a great experience for him and he learned a lot about the game and was also alot better by the end of the night. After attending two more tournaments, Pyroloserkid started placing higher, and placed 13th in a massive GTA tournament.
For the past six years, Pyroloserkid had no idea about what Smash really was. He had no idea about the competitive side of it, and that such advanced things were even possible. Early in June of 2007, Pyroloserkid was reading up on the most anticipated upcoming game, "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" when he happened upon a YouTube Melee video. This video was the Bombsoldier vs. Ken Jack Garden Tournament. While watching it, Pyroloserkid was amazed and confused all at the same time. He had no idea what was going on. He had never seen this side of Smash before, and on top of that, he didn't even know it existed.
Pyroloserkid was reading the comments after watching the video like he does with all YouTube videos, and was utterly lost. He had no idea what half the comments meant, so he google'd Smash Lingo. He clicked on some results and then happened upon Smash World Forums. It was just an oasis of information and shortly after reading through some threads, he made an account. Three months later, in August, Pyroloserkid already had a rough grip on some advanced techniques. These including SHFFL'ing, WD'ing, Dash Dancing, etc. After practicing his new advanced techniques on his friends, his mindgame quickly developed. His combo's started shaping up, and the advanced techniques just seemed to come to him.
A fellow SWF member, TyrantWolf, after Starfurry 2007 said to Pyroloserkid: "You have a good mindset and interest for this game, I like that. keep that drive and you'll get somewhere with this game. Time + Effort my friend, it's what'll get you far in this game. Keep it up" . After hearing this from him, Pyroloserkid decided he wasn't that bad and the only way to get better was to keep competing.
Now, Pyroloserkid attends every tournament he can in the area, and takes losses as a learning experience. Brawl wise, Pyro's mains are Olimar and Pokémon Trainer, but he's an all around Brawler.

Biography: Little is known about this mysterious person. His picture was incredibly difficult to find; we found it on a Google search for "Wayko". It was on the first page. Wayko has appeared once and only once in the history of Show Me Your News. SamuraiPanda pulled some random person (apparantly a cat) off the street to be their guest on Part 3 of The Pandacast Strikes Back. Wayko has since disappeared, never to be seen again. In Wayko's appearance in Episode 26.3, he stated that Wario is "just like his brother". What this is implying is unknown.

Biography: No one is entirely sure of Cyberlink420's origins, including himself, though he likes to believe it was something involving robotic ninjas with machine guns. What is known, however, is that he's a Smasher from Michigan whose mains include Yoshi & Kirby in Super Smash Bros., Jigglypuff & Dr. Mario in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Sonic, Toon Link, and Wolf in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. While not a hardcore player by any means, he likes to delude himself into believing that he holds some level of skill, and is always up for a challenge.
Cyberlink is also a frequent video gamer, mainly puzzle games and platformers. He's currently working on getting a degree in Software engineering. Favorite series include Smash Bros., Mario, Sonic, WarioWare, Banjo-Kazooie, Viewtiful Joe, Legend of Zelda, Sam & Max, Phoenix Wright, Kirby, Mega Man, and a variety of others. Cyberlink is also a die-hard animation enthusiast, both in terms of anime and western animation.
Recently, CyberLink has collaborated with YouTube user GameBuddy123, a good friend whom he has worked with on a number of previous projects, to create "Sonic F", a shameless parody of Sonic X in the same vein as Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series. In addition to writing each episode, CyberLink also provides the voices of Chuck (the stereotypical old man), Decoe and Bocoe (who occasionally speak in leet and internet fads due to a viral infection), Bokkun (as played by G.I.R. of Invader Zim), and Scarlet Garcia (whose news reports provide convenient exposition when characters need it almost on cue) as well as other extra characters. The series premiered at midnight on October 3rd, 2007, and as of this writing, only the first episode (and a special edition of said episode) has been produced, with Episode 2 coming in the near future. However, CyberLink has stated that he is currently working on the scripts for the episodes 3-5, as well as making various plans for future episodes, and hopes to be able to finish the entire series. An adaptation of Sonic The Hedgehog: The Movie is also in the works.

Biography: Also known as "Swordy" or "Hunter", SwordHunter is Youko's younger brother. Swordy first appeared in the Easter Egg of Episode 16. In Episode 35, he was the moderator, so to speak, of the chat in which questions were asked to Youko and SamuraiPanda by fans of SMYN. SwordHunter reappeared as a full guest on the Roundtable on Episode 39, but not without starting a new SMYN Fad: Jump over the switch! Currently, Swordy is the co-host of WTF, Pokémon!?, along with Youko.
